Support
Email support@labelfacts.app for any question about the app, your account, or product data. If your question is about a specific product, include its barcode (GTIN) so we can find the exact record.
How is the LabelFacts Score calculated?
The score is a deterministic 0–100 calculation — not a judgement call and not an AI output. It combines our reviewed ingredient database, which cites published assessments from FDA, WHO, EFSA, IARC, NTP, and CIR, with published measures such as Nutri-Score, NOVA, and GHS/CLP hazard classification. The same product data always produces the same number. The full mechanism is described on the methodology page and, with every weight and threshold, in the app under Methodology.
The LabelFacts Score is educational information, not medical or nutritional advice. Product data comes from public databases and manufacturer labels and may lag reformulations. Ingredient classifications come from the cited public authorities (FDA, WHO, EFSA, IARC, NTP, CIR). The weights, caps, and thresholds that combine them — and therefore the 0–100 score — are LabelFacts' own editorial methodology.
Why does a product show no score?
LabelFacts does not publish a score for this product because too little of its label resolved to a reviewed classification. An ingredient we do not recognise is a gap in our data, not evidence that the product is either safe or unsafe. The label information below is shown exactly as we received it.
A product's data or score looks wrong
Use Report incorrect data on the product screen in the app, or email support@labelfacts.app with the barcode and what is incorrect. We review reports and correct verified data errors promptly; corrections are applied to the product record, and because the score is computed deterministically from that record, a corrected record produces a corrected score.
How do I report a review?
Tap Report review on the review itself in the app. Reports are reviewed and acted on within 24 hours. You can also block a reviewer to hide all of their reviews from your account. Moderation questions: support@labelfacts.app.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are billed by Apple, so cancellation happens in your Apple account — we cannot cancel it for you. Open apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions, or on your device: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → LabelFacts. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid the next charge; you keep access until the end of the paid period. Refund requests also go to Apple, at reportaproblem.apple.com.
How do I delete my account?
In the app, go to Profile → Delete Account. Deletion runs on our servers and is complete and permanent: it removes your account information, scan history, preferences, any reviews you posted, and the sign-in itself. There is nothing to request afterwards — the deletion is not a deactivation.
I represent a brand — how do I correct product data?
Email support@labelfacts.app with the subject "Data correction". Include the product's barcode (GTIN), what is incorrect, and the current label (a photo of the pack is ideal). We verify corrections against the label and the public source databases, and we correct verified data errors promptly — the corrected record then flows into the deterministic score. Our data comes from public databases and can lag a reformulation; a correction from the manufacturer is the fastest way to fix that. How the score is computed is public: see the methodology page. Corrections are handled on their merits — there is no paid path.
